Alliston Sewing School is where creativity turns into confidence. Our hands-on sewing classes help kids learn real-life skills, build focus, and express themselves through design. From first stitch to finished project, we guide every child with patience, encouragement, and joy.

Kids Sewing
A gentle, fun-filled introduction to sewing. Our kids sewing programmes teach fine motor skills, machine threading and control, as well as a variety of hand sewing techniques. Students will learn all about measurements and how to make their own clothing and accessories.

Art & Fashion Design
Where creativity meets technical skills, our art and fashion design classes explore the creative side to sewing and design. Focusing on colour theory, the elements of design, all while teaching in a way that is fun and intuitive. Students get to explore a range of mediums, textures, and fabrics while growing their creativity.

Geared for older kids and teens who want to learn all things sewing. Students will learn fabric prep, measurements and fitting, as well as a range of sewing techniques. Classes are progressive and project based, offering hands-on learning that’s fun and keeps students engaged.

A typical day includes warm-up activity, a class demo, followed by guided work period. Classes always end with a review of what we learned.

Each class has supply lists that will be sent out prior to classes begining. If you do not have your supply list please call the school.

Yes! Our classes are aimed at being easy to understand and beginner-friendly. Our small class sizes and experienced instructors help make the learning process intuitive and fun.

In the event of bad weather the school holds the right to reschedule classes. Make-up classes will always be provided in case of class cancellations due to weather or illness.

No, classes are progressive. This means students need to attend all classes in order to learn effectively and complete projects.
